Tadcaster York Sport Swim Squad is committed to providing an environment in which all children and young people participating in its activities have a safe and positive experience.

Mel Robinson is our appointed Welfare Officer and deals with all child safeguarding matters raised within TYSSS. Mel is passionate about the welfare of our swimmers, and about young people’s health and wellbeing. Mel works in a local primary school and is a very experienced swimming Team Manager trained to TM2 level with first aid qualifications.

TYSSS adheres to the guidelines laid out in Swim England's Wavepower documents.

The aim of Wavepower is to safeguard all children in line with current legislation, regulations and guidance. A hard copy of this document is held by the Welfare Officer, and it can also be viewed and downloaded from the link below.

If you have a question or concern regarding child welfare, please inform our Welfare Officer.
